The two longtime best friends living in Oakland, CA met working together at a local organic ice cream shop. With a shared passion for acoustic music and the instrument of voice, the musical duo formed effortlessly. After years of collaborating for fun, in January of 2015 they launched the official project, Willow Steps, by releasing a debut Single and throwing their first concert to a packed venue in downtown Oakland. Since then the band has put out two EP’s, released five music videos, were featured in the Bay Area’s renowned music blogs The Bay Bridged and SF Critic, have been interviewed on multiple radio stations, threw a successful Kickstarter campaign, performed at the Oakland Art & Soul Music Festival, and toured the Pacific West Coast. With a harmony-heavy modern Folk sound and simple lyrical themes of love and heartbreak, Willow Steps not only entertains but touches the hearts of listeners.
